The writing project
Fiction, history and research around shared questions
Ahmed Alhafiz’s forthcoming work spans historical and religious fiction, psychological horror, and intellectual nonfiction. The common ground is the unstable border between a text and its interpretation, an event and its memory, fear and its cause, and evidence and the conclusions built upon it.
The research published here is separate from the unpublished manuscripts. Each dossier starts from its own question, relies on sources outside the manuscript, and states its review status and limits. When a question grows from a forthcoming work, that relationship is disclosed without treating the book as evidence for its own claims.
